Download HIRD One Desktop

The full HIRD One app in its own window — real activity % and background screenshots come built in, not as a separate install.

Windows

Installer (recommended)

Both built and launch-tested (real login flow verified against the live backend).

Linux

tar.gz

Packaged as a plain tar.gz, not an AppImage — AppImage needs Linux-native tooling not available when cross-building from Windows.

macOS

Needs a Mac to build

Config is ready; the build itself has to happen on macOS.

iOS & Android

Planned

The app exists and runs (mobile/) but isn't built for app stores yet — that needs an Expo EAS build, plus an Apple Developer account for iOS.

Browser Extension

Planned

Not started yet — tracks which sites/tabs are open in that browser, a different capability than the desktop app. Separate project.

These builds are unsigned and not published anywhere — no Microsoft Store, no Mac App Store, no code-signing certificate. Every OS will warn about an "unknown publisher" the first time you run it; that's expected, click through it. There is no iOS or Android version with real activity tracking — mobile OS sandboxing makes system-wide input monitoring technically impossible for any app, on any platform, published or not.

After installing

  1. Open the app — it goes straight to HIRD One, exactly like the website. Sign in there with your normal email and password.
  2. Time tracking is optional and separate from that sign-in: use the tray icon (near your clock) → "Connect Tracking..." if you want it.
  3. Once connected, the same tray menu is where you Start/Stop tracking, disconnect the device, or quit the app.
  4. The first time you start tracking, you'll be asked whether to turn on activity % and screenshots — you can say no and just track time.
